Sheffield and its region is an exciting place to visit. Not only are we in the centre of the UK, but most of the region belongs to the county of Yorkshire, the biggest county of the UK with a good infrastructure network, two hours from London by train, and close to a number of international airports and the Hull port with its ferry crossing to the continent.
The south side of the city is surrounded by stunning views and beautiful countryside in the county of Derbyshire, location of the Peak District National Park, the most visited park in the world, with its stunning views and beautiful countryside that is just on the outskirts of Sheffield and can be reached in just 15 minutes.
For arts and culture, the Sheffield region has much to offer – contemporary art galleries, museums, theatres and restaurants to suit all tastes and is building an increasingly successful reputation in hosting high-quality events on a national and international scale. Sheffield also offers an abundance of hotels and other and places to stay.
As a tourist there are so many attractions to highlight catering for all ages and all abilities. We are highlighting a few here, some topical over the next couple of years.
