In November 2017, a total of 247 people died in road traffic accidents in Germany. Based on provisional figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was an increase of three traffic accident fatalities compared with November 2016. The number of persons injured declined by 1.7% to roughly 31,300 compared with the same month a year earlier.

42% of all German enterprises with internet access and a minimum of 10 persons employed had fast internet access in 2017. This refers to fixed broadband connections with a contractually agreed data transfer speed of at least 30 megabits per second (Mbps).
In 2017 the index of producer prices for industrial products (domestic sales) for Germany increased by 2.6% on an annual average from the preceding year. As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) this was the first increase on an annual average since 2012 (+ 1.6% compared with 2011). In 2016 the index had fallen by 1.7% compared with 2015.
